I bought a light timer at Ikea for $6 that I use to make the lamp by my bedside come on 1/2 hour before my alarm goes off.

Makes it so I often get up and out of bed before the alarm goes off, if not, it makes me barely asleep when the alarm goes off and I no longer need to snooze.
